The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently browsing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency explained it's alarmed regarding the superior variety of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme more info [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service level established for intervention experiences a large inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it challenging for that Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods to enable the servicing of all shoppers and maximize entry to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
